This room is Dr. Soares’ heart and soul of the hospital.  This peaceful room, with leather loveseat and soothing décor, allows family members to visit with a hospitalized pet, make difficult decisions, or say goodbye to their loved one.  Some simply use it for a place to read & reflect.  This room allows people to grieve and express their emotions in a quiet, dignified manner without having to be in a cold sterile clinical environment.  It’s much easier to return with another pet without having to be in the same room as where you lost a friend.  A client has graciously donated a grief library in the name of her loving pet.  Many books are available for loan.
