Dr. Elizabeth Keehner
There was no defining moment when Dr. Elizabeth Keehner decided she wanted to be a vet—she just “always knew.” From the time she was a little girl, she loved animals, medicine and science, and knew that becoming a vet was “the only choice” for her.
She began her studies at Vassar College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry. Dr. Keehner attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with cum laude honors. She followed her formal schooling with an extensive internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the prestigious Oradell Animal Hospital in Oradell, New Jersey.
Dr. Keehner’s expertise runs the gamut—from oncology and ophthalmology to emergency surgery and well visits. She prides herself in delivering compassionate care—for both the pets and the families that love and care for them.
The first time Dr. Keehner walked into Macungie Animal Hosptial, the genuinely caring nature of the entire staff fit her personality to a tee. She was smitten by the doctors, the staff and the state-of-the-art facilities. With her fiance’s family from the Greater Lehigh Valley, Dr. Keehner knew she found a home at Macungie Animal Hospital.
Dr Keehner lives in Macungie with her fiance Milton.
